The view if the boats in the harbor was beautiful from the outdoor seating area. It was taking, but we were warm and dry with a roof over us, clear plastic windows to see the view, and heaters to take off the chill. The food was delicious! The portions were more than enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom, though subject to rain getting in if the door was left open, was clean and stocked with all conceivable items that customers could use. Nice souvenirs available! I bought a t-shirt. The decor was fun and I enjoyed taking photos. Loved the giant lobster trap!
Good meal. We got the Lobster Bisque, a Crab Salad Melt with Cheddar and the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Everything was tasty and filling. Couldn't finish it all. Be careful of shells, though, found them in the soup and crab salad. Found the Mac to be a bit over-seasoned, but it won an award, so might just be us... All in all a good stop.
Ordered fried shrimp, crab cake, new england clam chowder, and lobster bisque. The crab cake was great and I would go back to get it again for sure. The shrimp were tasty but very small (essentially popcorn shrimp). I am not sure if that was because they were local and nothing bigger was available, but I was disappointed compared to similar restaurants I have visited. The soups were nearly inedible. The clam chowder was bland and watery. The lobster bisque was so overloaded with red wine that I picked out what little lobster I could find and threw out the rest. For $40+ to buy lunch, I am sure you can do better in town.
Amazing food. Incredibly fresh seafood. The first and chips was some of the best I've had! Nice thick fillets with the perfect amount of breading, the fries were thick cut and perfectly seasoned. Can't wait to go back. Be prepared, there will likely be a line to order.
I was a bit disappointed with the lobster Mac in cheese. Plenty of lobster meat but the cheese sauce was almost too rich and overpowered the meat. Serving size was enough for 3 people. Lobster bisque was great. Great atmosphere. I would try it again and order differently.
